The South Lakes 0-5 Health Visiting Team plays a key role in supporting families in the crucial years before children commence their formal education. We are looking for a Health Visitor with enthusiasm and dedication to join the South Lakes team.
The appointed Health Visitor’s will be supported in their role by the by the other South Lakes Health Visitors and the Integrated Team manager (ITM). One thing that sets the South lakes Team apart is the team spirit and support given to all members of the team from their peers and managers.
Being able to communication effectively with both patients and staff is essential as you will be responsible for supporting the local families, including those which have additional support requirements. Building relationships and working closely with GP’s and other integrated services is also key to the Health Visitors role within the South Lakes Team.
**The role includes but is not limited to the following**: Antenatal visit, Primary visit, 6-8 weeks visit,1 year assessment and aPre school2 year assessments. You will be involved in the assessment, support of parents with their mental health difficulties. You will support vulnerable families with safeguarding issues up to and including Children in Need Plans and support refugee families who have moved into the area.
