We are currently seeking an experienced **People Business Partner** to join our UK team and play a pivotal role in supporting our employee relations, case management, and performance advisory functions.

There will be occasional travel to London, likely once per quarter and infrequent travel to other offices in the North, e.g., Leeds, Liverpool or Manchester. This will not be frequent, but the flexibility needs to be there on the part of the role holder.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Employee Relations and Case Management:

- Handle complex employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Providing advice, with the support of external counsel, on points of law and legal compliance.
- Conduct thorough and objective case management, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal compliance.
- Provide guidance to managers on conflict resolution and proactive management of workplace issues.
- Performance Management and Coaching
- Working locally with the team leaders and team members on identifying performance needs, e.g., gap analysis, considering remedies and working closely with the Talent & Development team to put in place support for growth and promotion opportunities and associated learning solutions.
- Providing guidance on performance improvement plans and supporting managers with goal setting and oversight.
- Advisory Role:

- Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for employee engagement and retention.
- Offer insights into organizational development and change management processes.
- Problem Solving:

- Identify and analyse HR-related issues, proposing creative and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address organizational challenges and enhance overall employee satisfaction.
- Legal Compliance:

- Stay abreast of relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's practices remain compliant.
- Provide training to managers and employees on HR policies and legal requirements.

**Role Requirements**:

- Proven track record of managing ER cases to satisfactory conclusion
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience as an People Business Partner supporting a distributed internal client base
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive and forward-thinking approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Working Arrangement: This role will be based in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office three days a week, with flexibility for remote work.
