AK Teaching are looking to recruit a Trainee Unqualified Teacher to work within one of our partner schools based in Sheffield. The role is an immediate start and will initially start on a temporary basis, with an intention for the role to develop into a permanent position.

As a ‘Trainee Unqualified Teacher’ you will be supervising and providing support to the students within the classroom, ensuring they complete the work and instructions that will be pre planned and set by the class teacher. You will need to be proactive and engaging with students, and will be responsible for managing the behaviour and safeguarding of the students.

- Are you thinking about pursuing a PGCE/SCITT or Graduate Teaching Programme?
- Are you looking to start your journey towards achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Are you Further Education trained and would like to transition in to Secondary Teaching?
- Are you a Learning Support Assistant keen to develop your skills
- Are you Primary trained but looking to give Secondary a try?
- Are you a Youth worker, running children’s clubs and activities?
- Are you a Sports Coach who would like to work in a school or academy setting?
- Do you currently work as a Cover Supervisor and would like additional work?

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working within schools or a similar/transferrable background is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain order and discipline in the classroom.
- Passionate about working with children
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
