Swindon, United Kingdom National Trust Full time

We have a great opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to join the National Trust’s Philanthropy team, raising funds from charitable trusts and foundations. You’ll manage a portfolio of trusts which support our properties nationally and you’ll develop great relationships with external funders and internal colleagues.

The role is part time and is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meet with colleagues and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing:You’ll be generating income for the National Trust from a portfolio of charitable trusts which give gifts typically under £25,000 per annum. You’ll use your great writing skills to develop proposals, pulling together complex information to create compelling and attractive cases for support. You’ll research and write engaging impact reports and you’ll build relationships with external stakeholders as well as our experts internally. You’ll also play a role in supporting account management for some of the largest funding partners. All of this will be underpinned by great record keeping using our database and other systems.

Who we're looking forYou can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- Experience in major gifts, grants and / or trusts and foundations fundraising.
- An articulate and confident manner with the proven ability to build rapport quickly with a wide range of people.
