Job and Person Specification
We are thrilled to present a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our expanding team in the Midlands as a Business Support/Admin Assistant.
This hybrid role will be based in our Midlands office three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining two days and the occasional travel to our offices in York and Sheffield.
Key attributes for success in this role include exceptional organisational and communication skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and effective time management. The role demands both initiative and collaboration within a supportive team environment. Given the sensitive nature of the financial and personnel information handled, confidentiality is of utmost importance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with external HR consultants to fulfil Health and Safety duties across our three offices.
- Draft letters and engage in correspondence with staff regarding HR matters.
- Assist Directors in ensuring the effectiveness of staff appraisal processes.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks, including order placement, electronic filing, and support for fee-earning staff.
- Facilitate the setup of new projects, manage purchase orders, and send confirmation of instructions.
- Support time-sensitive tasks for smooth monthly invoicing transitions.
- Maintain and update documentation and client contact details in our systems.
- Cultivate strong relationships within our team, fostering a positive work environment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft 365 programs.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage workload independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to changing pressures.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Strong team-working capability.
- Full UK driving license required.
