An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Officer to work as part of the Public Health operational delivery team within Wirral’s Public Health service. As Quality Assurance Officer, the post holder will provide dedicated administrative, project, case management and system support to support the effective running of the public health service.

This role is key to supporting the effective delivery of Public Health interventions and projects in line with agreed priorities and key objectives. The post holder will support a newly formed operational delivery team to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues across the Council and wider partners to ensure effective delivery of the Public Health delivery work programme.

Working to the Public Health Team Leader, this role will work closely alongside a team of public health officers, enabling a continuous improvement culture using project data and information to support measuring performance and driving action. A key responsibility for this role is effectively managing information, working within defined processes and procedures. The role also involves effectively responding to various types of correspondence relating to all aspects of Public Health.

The successful applicant will be highly organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective data analysis and decision-making skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective systems and processes to provide assurance in all aspects of service delivery.

Experience of working with various types of data, working within standard operating procedures and with different stakeholders and customers is essential.
