I’m looking for an Interim Group Technical Director to join a European leader in FinTech within the education sector. Their product suite has revolutionised their domain, now trusted by over 11,000 schools across 200 local authorities for 20 years, the businessis on a mission to spearhead progress and innovation in schools. Their products help to streamline operations and transform communication between schools, students, and parents. The business consistently evolves their product suite and due to huge recent acquisitions,they’re looking for a senior leader to manage the technical strategy and direction for the wider group. The role is remote-first with regular trips to some of their UK hubs across the Midlands, South West and South East.
**What skills you’ll need**:

- A technical background, capable of holding complex discussions at engineering/architectural level.
- Commercially driven, background in taking technology products to market and scaling them.
- Multi-functional and multi-regional leadership capability.
- Skilled in evaluating, managing and communicating with third-party resources & services.
- Previous experience in new product integration/roll-out, and ideally product acquisitions.
- Strategic mindset, capable of defining & executing a long-term commercial objective.
- Any experience in EdTech, FinTech, PayTech or similar would be advantageous.

**What you’ll be doing**
Reporting into the Group CTO, this role takes ownership of their distributed engineering teams across a suite of 12 products. You’ll provide technology vision and strategy for the group of businesses which involves managing the integration of their recent acquisitions.The senior architects will report into you, so it’s expected you’ll be able to hold complex technical discussions across multiple functions; bridging the gap between technical delivery and commercial objectives, offering particularly deep experience in cloudtechnology. You’ll work closely with the Group Product & Delivery Directors to ensure visions are aligned, as well as managing various third-party tools and services.
