**The Opportunity**:
The post holder will make a key contribution to the leadership, development, and design of teaching, assessment in Inclusive Education. The post holder will have established expertise in Inclusive Education and the ability to lead and contribute to cross-cutting themes of Social Justice and Sustainability in their broadest sociological sense.

We welcome applicants who can bring a critical and creative understanding of the way schools and teachers can work productively to support and enhance educational opportunities of all pupils. The appointee will join the Institute of Education, Teaching and Leadership which offers the MSc Inclusive Education and MA Primary Education with Gaelic Programmes. In addition, the appointee will make a contribution to theory and practice in Educational Studies (jointly with the Institute for Sport, Physical Education and Health Sciences).

There are opportunities to supervise undergraduate honours and Masters Dissertations and/or PhD students. The postholder would contribute to the development of Professional Recognition for Scottish teachers in collaboration with the General Teaching Council of Scotland.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Holding a PhD (or equivalent) in Inclusive Education or related area of Educational Studies
- Established credibility and experience in inclusive pedagogies and teaching about inclusive education at HE level
- Demonstrate a critical, informed, creative and scholarly capacity to engage with students using a range of teaching mediums, including virtual learning environments and online platforms.
- A commitment to equality and diversity in the teaching workforce
