People Assistant

We are looking for a People Assistant to join our team with a positive attitude, a proactive approach, and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
You’ll be working with the Head of People to support putting people first through engagement, development, and retention. By managing relationships, you will be enabling our managers to effectively manage their people and improve business performance.
Working with our teams you will support the business with all recruitment and people needs.
**What will your role involve?**
- Arranging new managers inductions into the business, setting up meetings, engaging teams and coordinating activities.
- Identifying engagement opportunities to promote important messages about safety, health and wellbeing, employee benefits and the Employee Assistance Programme by building a communication schedule to sustain key messaging.
- Building a portfolio of resources including information, documents, and forms on the company’s shared resource with the view of supporting and upskilling our managers and their teams.
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment by providing support and guidance to enable our managers to advise people policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support managers to identify needs that help evolve people plans, sharing insights and trends that help develop a high performing and supportive work culture.
**Skills and experience needed**
- At least one years experience of working in an internal recruitment function with an online ATS
- Some experience in conducting interviews and screening CVs
- Interest in the development of people
- An effective communicator
- Brilliantly organised with an ability to get things done
- High standard of attention to detail
- Great working experience of Microsoft 365
- Enthusiasm for the food, drink, and the hospitality industry
- CIPD qualification desirable
