As a Risk assurance specialist, you will drive the development and delivery of 2nd line assurance activities across National Grid Ventures to provide assurance against risk controls and controls relating to compliance with both regulatory and National Grid standards.

You will have proven experience in delivering a range of assurance activities in a Risk management capacity. Ability to work to tight timescales to deliver quality assurance outputs whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction is essential.

**Key activities**:

- Support in the development, planning and delivery of Risk, Compliance, Safety and Resilience related, assurance activities across the NGV portfolio, providing assurance against key risk controls and compliance against National Grid Group Standards, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Deliver assigned assurance plans to time, quality and ethical standards, proactively looking for areas of improvement and providing value adding and insightful recommendations that address control and process opportunities and issues.
- Assurance output reports that are of high quality and effectively communicate the agreed scope of work, key findings and recommendations of each assurance activity to related stakeholders.
- To support the assigned team in the effective implementation, coordination, execution and monitoring of Manufacturing Assurance and Quality Assurance activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, National Grid policies, procedures, specifications and the wider Quality Management Systems (QMS).

- Proven experience in either utilities or energy industries.
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues.
- Expert knowledge of audit delivery and excellent report writing skills.
