**Finance Assistant - Bourne - £25k-£30k (12-month FTC)**

Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for a Finance Assistantto join this organisation on a fixed term contract for one year. We are seeking a motivated, approachable individual who has the ability to work as part of a team and individually.

**The role of the Finance Assistant**
- Updating and maintenance of BACs forecasting
- Posting of purchase invoices to ERP
- Posting of sales invoices to ERP
- Posting of bank payments to ERP
- Posting of bank receipts to ERP
- Preparing weekly debtor reviews and chasing
- Processing weekly BACS run
- Dealing with ad hoc supplier/customer queries
- Processing monthly customer statements
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Maintenance of credit card reconciliations
- Maintenance of petty cash reconciliations
- Raising of priority and ad hoc payments
- Regularly reviewing PL and SL allocations
- Assisting Management Accountant and Finance Director with ad hoc duties
- Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
- Being responsible for ARD and S&S
- Organising currency for outgoing payments
- Maintenance of holiday and absence reporting
- Minimum requirement AAT level 2, with a view to studying AAT level 3 and 4, with 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A* to C including maths
- Excel knowledge to a basic to intermediate standard. Ability to use data filtering, sum formula, vlookup and sort function
- Minimum of 1 year working in a similar finance-based environment
- Experience with using Microsoft Navision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
