We are looking for a **Gaelic Language & Culture Teaching Assistant. **This post holder will be primarily contributing to elements of teaching within several clear and established programmes by provision of tuition in specific areas of these courses to groups of students (typically undergraduate).

A key purpose of the role is to stimulate language use and progression to fluency among students in order to further understanding of the key language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and to assist students in drawing key learning points from course materials.

**Your skills and attributes for success:
- Hold a degree relevant to the teaching area.
- Have an understanding of the basic principles of teaching, learning and assessment.
- A capability to lead groups, which may have been gained through experience as a demonstrator or other appropriate means, including explaining concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Sufficient knowledge of the topic under discussion to lead discussion adequately, taking account of the needs of the specific group, including detailed explanation of how the topic relates to the wider area of study.
