- **Recruiting for a Move to Independence Co-ordinator to work in our Mental Health service in Lambeth.**

Looking for a new role where you can make a difference every day? We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Move to Independence Co-ordinator to join our Mental Health services in Lambeth.

£25,000 per annum, working 40 hours per week, plus 25 days Annual Leave, Pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

**Shift patterns**: Monday - Friday 9 -5 needs flexibility occasional weekend or evening - 5/7 40 hours

Lambeth Step Down Recovery Cluster is an accommodation-based service for people who have long - term Mental Health and Complex Needs. The service operates from a number of hub sites across the borough and delivers care and support commissioned by the local authority to over 70 residents.

We’re looking for a Move to Independence Co
- Ordinator to join our Mental Health service.

**Essential**:

- Has relevant and demonstrable sector work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the housing sector, benefits and legal entitlements.

**Desirable**:

- Other relevant professional memberships and/or specialist qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of supported housing move on pathways.
- Knowledge and experience of policy relating to Private Rented Sector.

**Job Overview**:
You will bring your experience to help support often marginalised people to find positive solutions to their housing needs, work with a diverse range of people and above all enjoy making a difference.

We support often marginalised people to move towards greater independence as part of their recovery with social inclusion a key part of the journey. We know how important the link is between housing and good mental health.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop links with private sector landlords and estate agents in order to source private rented stock and promote Look Ahead as a partner organisation.
- Work in partnership with local authority move on co-ordinators, creating innovative schemes to support long stayers to move on.
- Attend and complete all relevant documentation for placement review meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of service utilisation.
- Develop and maintain an information resource to support operational staff in the resettlement of customers. This will include (but not limited to) Local Housing Allowance Rates, Partner Landlord and Estate Agency details and Rent Deposit Schemes.
- Act as the main point of contact for information and resources on the private rented sector.
- Support a caseload of customers who are progressing toward move on.
