Expected Starting Date: January 2024

- Salary for this role beginning at £23,236 per annum
- 39 hours weekly, working 5 days over 7 & alternative weekends
- Working between 8am - 11pm, approx.. 8 hours daily.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

As a person you have good communication skills that can help to build relationships and networks with people across different functions within the unit. You can prioritise and take decisions as well as follow up and communicate progress. You will be someone who believes in the IKEA Concept, has IKEA Brand Identity and lives the IKEA culture & Values.

This role is a perfect opportunity for someone with Logistical experience to take their first steps into a leadership role or for someone with existing leadership experience to further their understanding of the exciting Logistics function.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

We’re the team behind the scenes that make the IKEA products available to the many people. As a diverse mix of co-workers we use our supply process expertise to balance range and space capacity with forecasting and ordering to provide customers with high availability while minimizing costs. If you’ve wonder who’s responsible for finding effective and efficient ways of picking up the products for our customers, that’s us. We’re passionate about working together to improve the customer experience at IKEA
- Planning, organising and monitoring the flow of goods within your area of responsibility in the store, i.e. from sales location to the customer.
- Working actively to improve productivity through efficient resource planning, including managing sickness leave, staff allocation, flexible working and efficient goods flow operations.
- Providing input to your manager on logistics capacity requirements in your area of responsibility and the creation of a business plan and goods flow action plans.
- Empowering your team of co-workers by delegating responsibility to help each person grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience.
