Glenrothes, United Kingdom Sense Scotland Full time

**Are you caring, reliable and friendly? Do you want to spend your days doing something rewarding? Do you want to work within a fantastic day support service?**
**We pay our Support Practitioners £10.90 per hour. You’ll also qualify for a £500 incentive to stay bonus once you’ve successfully completed your first 6 months of employment with us***:
**About the Role**:
We currently have an exciting Support Practitioner vacancy at our Fife Adult Day/Outreach service in Touchbase Kirkcaldy. Our service is open 6 days a week between 8am and 5pm and we are looking for staff to work flexibly on our rota. We have various hours available and working pattern is 5 days over 7.
We are passionate about developing the people we support’s outcomes and achievements in life. The individual you will support may have limited communication, therefore we would require you to work hard to develop and understand how each person communicates.
Each individual has their own interests and hobbies. We would require you to support individuals in their chosen activities and help them to develop new activities and relationships where possible. Each individual has their own activity planner which includes activities in the Day Services. Supporting with personal care, eating and drinking and administration of medication is required.

**About you**:
Are you caring, reliable and friendly? Do you want to spend your days doing something rewarding? Do you want to work within a fantastic day support service?
You might already have experience working within the health and social care sector and are looking for a better work life balance or looking to change career and your first role within social care, then we have the role for you.
In our Adult Day Service in Kirkcaldy what is important is that all our staff have a genuine passion to make a difference in the life of someone with additional support needs.
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, adaptable, have a strong work ethic and have a genuine passion for the work we deliver at Sense Scotland. We are passionate about delivering the best quality of care, while achieving person centred outcomes and it’s a real chance to make a difference daily in someone’s life.
Some of the individuals we support might only be engaging with others by attendance at Day Service. This is their time and place to socialise and enjoy the hobbies they love, and we need to make sure this is a positive environment from the moment they enter the service until it is time for them to go home.
We need you to have a genuine passion to make a difference and realise the importance of a smile, and the impact you could have of enabling the individuals we support to take part in something they love.

**Working for us**:
We offer a wide range of staff benefits, these include:
- Generous annual leave entitlement - 36 days annual leave, including public holidays (pro-rata for part time hours)
- Pension scheme
- Training and Development
- Death in Service benefit
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Annual Employee Awards Event
- Health and wellbeing support
- £500 incentive to stay bonus
- £500 Refer a colleague scheme
