**Requirements**:
We are looking for a caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun and positive individual to join our waken night team in Glenrothes. This vacancy is part time, 24hours per week. You must be able to work two 12hour shifts per week. Please note that posts are offered on a shift pattern basis and will include weekend and public holiday shifts. The rota is prepared a month in advance. The first 2-3 weeks you will attend induction training during the day, 9am-5pm in our Kirkcaldy office. Before moving onto lone work during the night, you will shadow day staff from 10am to 10pm. CALM training will be provided; this post is physically demanding. In this role you will be caring for two men who have learning disabilities and autism. Previous care experience is desirable. For this post you do not need to hold a driving license.

We provide full in-house training to all new staff members and will even invest in you to achieve your SVQ Level 2, so even if this is a new career path for you, we would love to meet you. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.

**About the Role**:
Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:

- **Social Support**:

- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
- **Medical Support**:

- Administering and monitoring medication.
- **Personal Care**:

- Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.
- **Practical Support**:

- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
