Purchasing & Quality Administrator - Manufacturing

Purchasing Administrator required for a chemical manufacturer based in Stoke On Trent. The company currently occupies a 70,000 square foot manufacturing site in Stoke-on-Trent.
Purchasing & Quality Administrator - Manufacturing Position Overview
- Procurement of goods and materials in line with production needs, working to a just in time model
- Supporting the Production Planner to ensure materials are available in line with the production plan, and communicating any delays / shortages accordingly
- Support the sales team in the creation of product specifications
- Monitoring of product prices across the supply chain and updating senior business members accordingly, whilst seeking out more economical alternatives where possible
- Holding suppliers accountable for quality and non-conformance issues via use of non-conformance reports and associated investigations
- Managing record keeping of stock on MS Excel system
- Liaising with sales team with regards to any customer issues
- Investigation of any customer or product quality issues and providing successful resolution
- Ensuring that stock of all items across the site are effectively rotated
Purchasing & Quality Administrator - Manufacturing Position Requirements
- Experience of working within a purchasing function within in a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to manage customer or quality issues and manage through to a successful conclusion
- Strong IT skills to include Microsoft Excel
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across clerical and production teams
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively across a broad range of tasks
- Knowledge of EU Import and Export regulations would be advantageous
Purchasing & Quality Administrator - Manufacturing Position Remuneration
Salary dependent on experience Circa £28k-£32k
- Holiday entitlement
- 28 days (includes Bank Holidays)
08;30-17;30 Friday 0800-14:00
