NHS Durham and Darlington Talking Therapies is a well-established psychological therapies service and has been providing psychological interventions to those residing in the County Durham and Darlington area since 2010. We are a joint venture of three experienced local and national providers of psychological therapies with a strong track record of success. It is led by Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in collaboration with Mental Health Matters (MHM) and Sunderland Counselling Service (SCS). The service has continued to develop new and innovative ways of supporting those patients presenting with common mental health difficulties, forming strong links with other supporting services in the area.

We pride ourselves on helping people achieve good mental and physical well-being and live life to the full. NHS Durham and Darlington Talking Therapies offers excellent training and development opportunities, flexible working (where appropriate), 27 days annual leave per annum/pro rata, plus statutory holidays and a contributory pension scheme. About the role The post holder will work within the NHS Durham and Darlington Talking Therapies, whilst undertaking a programme of training at University where they will progressively learn how to deliver low intensity interventions, at high volume, with patients with anxiety and depression. You will receive excellent support in the role including extensive clinical and caseload supervision.

Your knowledge of working within a community based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required to build good therapeutic relationships with clients. You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written communication as well as excellent verbal communication including telephone skills. You will also be able to evaluate and put in place the skills and knowledge that you are provided as part of the training and development opportunities included in this role. It is essential that you hold a health related degree.
