**Procurement & Production Planner**

Laxtons Specialist Yarns, Baildon, is looking to recruit an experienced **Procurement and Production Planner** to join its experienced Team in Bradford.

The role will involve working closely with the sales and operations teams and will manage day-to-day procurement of raw materials, supporting and managing the progress of production orders from start to finish as well as Planning through.

Experience in this role is essential, but certain elements of training and time to get up to speed with the Laxtons production methods will be factored in. The business’s approach is to provide a high level of quality assurance of products leaving the manufacturing facility.

Daily roles and responsibilities include:

- Responsibility for customer order processing through our dedicated software system (TMS).
- Order processing, tracking, monitoring and completion of orders for clients.
- Provide delivery information and raw material pricing within client expectations.
- Manage the factory planning board and delivery dates.
- Responsible for the purchasing/contracts of all raw material at advantageous terms and maintaining all stock control.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials and place orders when required to ensure production is not interrupted and where possible forecast requirements based on stock and order levels.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
- Keep up to date with new technologies and innovations on fibre and yarn components.
- Oversee the QA Systems and implement new when needed.
- Facilitate claim investigation.
- Review and report on supplier performance.
- Planning of the dye house section of the business, building strong internal relationships to ensure the results.
- Responsible for keeping ahead of dye trends, techniques, dyestuff (both chemical and natural) and other wet treatment proses we could incorporate into the dyehouse. GOTS etc.
- Work with the leadership team to support efficiencies and improvement in software systems.
- Hours of work8.00 till 17:00 Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.00 till 13:00 (39 hours)
- Flexibility in working hours (start & finish times) is encouraged depending upon requirements.
