Leaving Care Personal Advisor needed with the London Borough of Hounslow

**Start** **Date**:

- ASAP
**Location** - Hounslow
**Duration** - Initially 3 months
**Hours** **per** **week** - 37 hours per week
**Salary** - £20-£22 ltd an hour

**Description**:

- You will work with a caseload of 25 care leavers
- Personal Advisors ensure that young people who have left care make a successful transition from childhood into adulthood. Personal Advisors are responsible for delivering a high-quality service to young people who were formerly accommodated.
- This role is to ensure good outcomes for young people over the age of 18 and to ensure that their life chances are enhanced
- The Personal Advisor will provide support, advice and assistance to enable young people to maximise education, training, work and accommodation opportunities

**What is required?**
- Relevant experience and/or transferrable skills working with children and care leavers with complex needs from a diversity of cultural backgrounds
- Proven ability to assess their needs, risks, and identify eligibility for a wide range of services
- You will have relevant and up-to-date knowledge of legislation, processes, procedure and Equalities issues relating to children and care leavers
