**Business Continuity & Emergency Response Officer**

**Salary: £ £32,519 - £35,942 per annum.

In this role you will be reporting directly to the BC/ER Lead and will work across the Group to develop and assist in the implementation and governance of all HSE & BC strategies, plans, policies, procedures, guidance, KPIs, reports, records, and actions, also you will be supporting the Business Continuity & Emergency Response (BC&ER) Lead in delivering an excellent BC Management system.

**Role Profile**

**Business Continuity and Emergency Response Officer (Interim for 12 months)**

**Division: Group Governance and Legal Role Type: Hybrid**

**Job Purpose**
- Support the Business Continuity & Emergency Response (BC&ER) Lead in delivering an excellent BC Management system
- Support and embed Business Continuity (BC) and Emergency Response (ER) throughout The Riverside Group.
- Provide guidance to the Group with regards to business recovery strategy, mitigate risk and support the business to develop and test effective recovery plans
- The role will report directly to the BC/ER Lead and will work across the Group to develop and assist in the implementation and governance of all HSE & BC strategies, plans, policies, procedures, guidance, KPIs, reports, records, and actions.

**Role requires you to**:

- Work with BC/ER Lead to implement, test and improve BC & ER Plans.
- Support the awareness, training and education of BC/ER plan delivery.
- Support the uploading, review and improvement of BC/ER plans on the BCMS SharePoint Site
- Work with HSE MI & Data teams to establish reporting from BCMS.
- Support the BC/ER Lead in coordinating the Business Continuity Steering Group (BCSG) by helping members to produce good quality reports / updates and closing out of actions from previous meetings.

**Cross-Team Working**:

- Work closely with other HSE team members, MI and Data, Insurance teams.
- Have positive relationships BCSG members to understand their risks and operational challenges.
- Support sponsors, accountable risk leads, the Executive Team, and leaders to excel in BC/ER.
- Work closely with IT in delivery of BCMS.
- Ensure excellent service for all employees and customers when providing advice, support and lessons learnt.

**Other Information**
- Represent Riverside’s interests and proactively engage with customer and external stakeholders.

**Person Specification**

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Business Continuity experience.
- Experience of implementing systems in diverse organisations.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with ability to build credible relationships with management, operational and IT staff
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, deliver to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with a strong customer focus.

**Desirable**
- Understanding the context of social housing (particularly TRGL/OHG) and the challenges it faces.
- Understanding of Risk Methodologies.
- BCI Qualification CBCI or above (or equivalent)
