**Work Pattern ** 30 hours, Mon-Fri between 8am-5pm (start and finish times TBC)

**Location**: East Midlands Airport and hybrid working

**Responsible to**: Head of HR

**Role Summary**

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR function providing an efficient and effective administrative service ensuring all elements of the function are completed on time and to the required specification and standard.

Coordinate and develop HR Administration ensuring good practice and employment legislation is followed at all times.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR Department
- Provide full administrative support to the HR Department - All work carried out must be to a high standard with strict adherence to identified deadlines and confidentiality and Accuracy.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
- Compile, update and maintain employee records (hard and electronic copies)
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data and accurate data entry to the HR platform.
- Respond to employee queries/requests to the shared inbox providing relevant information or escalation as necessary.
- Coordinate and prepare all documentation for the New starter and leaver processes including contracts, information gathering and ensure all systems are updated.
- Maintain and manage, to required deadlines, various company and group lists e.g. Starters & Leavers.
- Work with the HR Systems administrator to ensure accuracy and integrity of the HR electronic data.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Answering calls and dealing with internal and external queries.
- Managing Group HR and HR Sage Inboxes and forwarding any queries to the relevant colleague

**Academic/Educational Requirements**
- Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent
- CIPD level 3 or equivalent - desirable

**Required Skills/Experience/knowledge**:

- Minimum of 2 years HR administration experience.
- Previous experience of Sage People is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent IT skills specifically Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive and enthusiastic team player
- Possess professional, friendly and customer-focused personality
- Proactive, confident, self-starter
- Proven Planning & Organisation and problem solving skills
- Effective interpersonal skills; adaptable to all levels of the organization
- Able to work independently, taking the initiative and with little supervision
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Attention to detail & quality minded

**Salary and benefits**
- Salary £22,000 - £25,000 pro rata depending upon skills and qualifications.
- Company Pension
- 25 days Annual leave + Bank holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
