Hours of work: 8am-9am, 3pm-6pm, term time Monday-Friday

Main duties

1. To promote an atmosphere of care and enthusiasm where all children are welcomed and their individual needs are met.

2. To plan both individual and group opportunities for children ensuring that activities are adequately supervised and appropriate to children’s needs and interests.

3. To provide full care of children including delivering children to school, collecting children from school and handing them safely over to their parents or carers.

4. To prepare premises with equipment and materials at the start of the session, ensuring all equipment set out is safe and to tidy up at the end of each session.

5. Prepare breakfast and light snack in line with rota following food hygiene regulations.

6. Baseline reception children and complete their blue books with observations and assessments.

7. Establish good communications with parents/carers regarding their children’s welfare.

8. Develop positive working relationships with colleagues and the school staff.

9. Be aware of health and safety issues and report problems or defects.

10. Ensure children’s records are up to date and complete and maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality in record keeping.

11. Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.

12. Administer First Aid as appropriate, completing accident and incident reports and evaluating in line with policies and procedures.

13. Attend staff meetings and contribute ideas.

14. Implement all policies and procedures and contribute to the review process.

15. Undertake any tasks requested which are commensurate with this job role and responsibilities.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 - 20 per week

Pay: £5.28-£10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
