**The role**
The purpose of this role is to carry out stock condition and energy surveys, to assess and record the current condition and remaining life of property components. You will also undertake energy efficiency surveys to produce EPC reports and retrofit assessment surveys.
**It has the following main responsibilities.**
- Carry out the annual programme of stock condition surveys
- Carry out Domestic Energy Assessments including RdSAP surveys
- Carry out more detailed retrofit assessment surveys
- Instruct minor repairs identified during the surveys.
- Undertake any other property related inspections and produce written reports as required
- Provide clear and honest communication with our customers and employ tact and diplomacy when explaining the services, we provide to manage expectations appropriately

**What we need**
For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience.
- Level 2 Surveyor or experience in a surveying role
- GCSE or ‘O’ Level standard (or equivalent) with grade C or above in English and Maths
- HNC in Building or Surveying or equivalent experience
- Qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA). Whilst you don’t need to be a DEA to apply, it’s a requirement of the role that you’ll have obtained the qualification within 6 months of starting.
- Knowledge of maintenance management and/or construction management
- Knowledge of computer systems in a maintenance environment
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
