We have an exciting opportunity for a
** Casework Coordinato**r to join our Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team. In this role you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering casework services for refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants and will undertake a range of duties designed to develop, maintain, and promote the service. The support we provide depends on the needs of our service users, so no two days will be the same.

**A day in the life of a Casework Coordinator will involve**:
Working as part of our team to deliver casework, advocacy, practical and emotional support to our service user; this role is at the heart of our team. You will work with a full age range of asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants including individuals and families to ensure that they are fully supported through their journey. You’ll enable us to best respond and assist these vulnerable people.

Many of the people we support are in complex situations and can experience hardship, homelessness, social isolation, and face challenges navigating complex welfare and legal systems. As a central part of our frontline area team, you will coordinate and supervise a team of casework volunteers to provide casework, advocacy, practical and emotional support to enable our service users to access the support and services they need.

This will be an incredibly rewarding role and will help us to achieve our mission of supporting people in crisis. You'll be making a tangible difference to the people you support.

**To be a successful Casework Coordinator you’ll have**:

- Established organisational skills and can plan, manage, and monitor your own and others workload.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills which enable you to build relationships and adapt your communication style to suit the needs of a diverse group, you will be professional as well as patient & understanding.
- Ability to communicate with people whose first language is not English to understand their rights and entitlements and advocate on their behalf.
- You can provide sensitive, safe and empowering support to distressed people in vulnerable situations.
- You are about our cause - you understand the rights and entitlements of asylum seekers, migrants and refugees.
- Are able to speak a language common to our main groups of service users
- Have personal experience of migration and/or family separation due to conflict or natural disaster
