Chase & Holland are excited to once again be working with a long-standing client of ours who are now looking for a
**HR Officer **to join their team. Our client is a people-orientated logistics business who are present around the globe and are looking to further expand their presence here in the United Kingdom.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fun and friendly team who offer flexible working to promote a good work life balance. Our client is looking for someone who is hands-on to work within the HR department and is comfortable working with complex ER cases. **Day-to-day responsibilities of the HR Officer include**:

- Providing appropriate, accurate and consistent advice to management and stuff on all Company HR related policies/procedures and employee relation issues
- Managing attendance management, disciplinary and grievance processes
- Dealing with performance management
- Being involved with TUPE processes and contract termination procedures
- Attending disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings, taking accurate and appropriate notes and ensuring subsequent investigations are carried out to meet both company and legal requirements for a fair and consistent procedure.
- Supporting and advising managers during business restructures/changes to ensure fair and consistent procedures are adhered to
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and company policy to ensure a service which properly balances best practice, compliance, and commercial pragmatism
- To support employee managers in welfare and capability processes, including managing occupational health referrals to ensure cases are managed in a timely, professional manner giving due consideration to all factors and support opportunities

**Requirements for the HR Officer role**:

- Level 5 CIPD
- Demonstratable experience in a HR Officer or similar level position
- Sound knowledge of employment law, particularly relating to disciplinary, absence management and equality
- Knowledge of HR best practice
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management skills
- Practical problem-solving ability
