Technical Administrator / Technical Assistant

Manucomm are currently recruiting for a Technical Administrator / Technical Assistant for A large Food manufacturer based in the heart of Wales who supplies products to the major retailers. Within this role you will be working within a fast paced, flexibleenvironment in a multifunctional time that will give you a wide breadth of exposure to all areas of Technical including Artwork, Specifications etc

Technical Administrator / Technical Assistant Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Administration and maintenance of specifications of all associated raw material and packaging components to ensure compliance, consistency and quality.
- Facilitate the formalities and sign off of pack copy and artwork processes (from concept - launch) via internal and customer systems to ensure compliance against all legislative labelling and coding requirements.
- To assist in the packing process through from origination to packaging delivery using critical paths and own-label web based systems.
- Monitor, trend and focus internal microbial compliance against set legislative and customer tolerances whilst gathering information for internal and customer score cards/period reports.
- Assist within both microbial and complaint trend analyses to drive both improvement and action.
- Support supplier approval process to ensure each raw material & packaging meets required standards of conformity.
- Assist with specification formulation by gathering and submitting product information to ensure critical paths are achieved for either launch (NPD) and/or EPD.

Technical Administrator / Technical Assistant Skills / Experience Required
- Experience working within a Food Manufacturing Environment
- Excellent Knowledge of HACCP and BRC
- Knowledge of Food Legislation
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office
