FSM Logistics is part of the F.S. Mackenzie International Group, a global freight forwarding company with its HQ in Basildon. The company has over 70 years of experience in international transportation with 12 offices worldwide.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals & objectives with the aim of accelerating company growth
- Conduct regular market research and analysis & create business plans on commercial opportunities - expansion, business development etc
- Continue to develop existing products & drive new services
- Provide fresh ideas to further develop niche markets and new products by sea & road freight
- Act to acquire new customers & manage existing client relationships
- Collaborate with a very experienced operational team & the Operations Manager
- Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics & prepare reports for senior management

**Requirements**:

- Sea freight logistics/freight forwarding experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role in logistics
- In depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
- Good knowledge of performance reporting
- Commercial awareness with a strategic mindset
- Excellent leadership & communication skills

Brief:
Reporting directly to the Group Chairman, the right applicant will have a proven track record in sales & commercial development in logistics and add value to growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities, and keeping abreast of trends andmarket conditions to provide strategic advice to upper management.

You should have an entrepreneurial mindset and great leadership skills - we're looking for a creative strategist who can help us grow & expand our commercial activity to generate revenue and lead to sustainable growth.
