We are now looking for a compliance apprentice to join our compliance team. As a compliance apprentice with the Tote, you will have the opportunity to make a make a tangible difference to the team and wider business through your work to support the core strategic function of regulatory compliance whilst studying for a Level 3 Regulatory and Compliance Officer qualification.

Reporting into the Head of Compliance your role will involve the delivery of key programmes in relation to the implementation of the compliance framework and compliance monitoring. You will learn to work proactively to both identify and escalate appropriately, matters of compliance related or other risk. You will support in matters of regulatory reporting, specific initiatives, and necessary investigations and will be developed to build a network of strong relationships across the business to support this and to enable you to drive projects to completion.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Carrying out compliance monitoring activity in accordance with the compliance framework and ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Preparing internal reports and collating data so that the Tote can meet its regulatory reporting obligations
- Supporting in the completion of internal investigations carried out by senior managers and compiling formal reports
- Learning how to promote a positive and pro-active risk and compliance culture within the business through ongoing support to maintain and to eventually deliver training to colleagues

We are a team of over 170 people with our HQ based in Wigan, Greater Manchester (WN3 5AZ)_._ The role will be 37.5 hours per week with core business hours 9am till 5pm. We offer flexible hybrid working, a full induction and on the job training and a development plan will be put in place for anyone who joins the team.

**What you’ll need**:

- Strong communication skills which can be implemented through all mediums to varying stakeholders across the business
- Ability to work to deadlines and thrive in high pressure situations whilst maintaining high levels of precision and accuracy
- Passion and commitment to developing compliance knowledge and learning and development
- An understanding and/or interest in the gambling industry is advantageous but not essential
