**What you’ll be doing**

You’ll be joining our knowledge services and solutions (KS&S) team to work with colleagues to identify customer needs in academia, practitioner, industry and corporate markets; building solutions to meet those needs. These solutions include services throughoutthe portfolio comprising of print and digital academic books, databases, journals, events, webinars, advertising, journalistic pieces ("advertorials"), sponsorship and digital on-line learning.

**What we hope you can bring to the role**

You’ll bring your experience in relationship building and strong understanding of sales cycles, with a proven track record in achieving targets and KPI’s. Sales experience in a B2B context is essential, whilst knowledge of the engineering and technologysector and related process would be highly advantageous.

**A little more about the role**
- To initiate and develop contacts with Corporate Partners, bodies and potential investors in order to create commercial partnership opportunities for the IET.
- To conduct research and develop contacts in order to maximise on Government, public body and other funding opportunities with a view to increasing our portfolio of products.
- To meet financial targets in order to increase revenue and surplus (commission-based rewards scheme available on all income over this target).
- Working with the Head of Corporate Sales to identify new markets, new customers and new solutions to increase revenue and impact
- To research, identify and pursue UK and international opportunities associated with; learning, Recruitment, Advertising, IET Standards and Tech Regs and Events products

**A little more about what we’re looking for**
- An experienced sales professional
- Demonstrable sales experience preferably gained in a B2B environment preferably Public Sector
- You will also have proven ability to work accurately and quickly without supervision; to prioritise and manage a challenging workload and to work on your own initiative
- Creative flair, attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- First class written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel
