Your New role

At National Highways we’re looking for a Quality and Performance Assurance Manager to join our team based in the South East. You will be responsible of managing a team of Quality and Performance Analysts to provide effective monitoring, capture and reportingof quality and performance levels against targets in the Region and facilitate the identification and adoption of remedial and continuous improvement actions.

This role will be based in either Maidstone, Guildford or Basingstoke.

What you’ll be leading on

- To lead a team of Quality and Performance Analysts, setting the tone and driving high performance, ensuring the team’s ongoing development and engagement.
- Taking responsibility for long term resource planning, continuously assessing capacity and capabilities in the team, and take proactive steps to address issues to ensure the team can operate effectively to deliver against current and future demands.
- Collaborating with regional and national Operations teams (e.g. National Portfolio team) to shape, define and implement performance reporting requirements, KPIs and metrics that allow better understanding and visibility of the Region’s performance againstits targets.
- Ensuring timely and accurate collation, analysis and distribution of performance data and management reports, to support directorate, regional and management meetings / decision making forums; to analyse, as needed, relevant market trends and benchmarks.
- You will be managing the Region’s contribution to the further development of Operations performance reporting, including identifying opportunities for automation, improvements and/or simplification.
- Promoting agreed Operations and wider business quality management systems and governance arrangements, ensuring that Regional teams understand them and maintain compliance.
To be Successful
- Demonstrable experience of working with organisational KPIs, performance measurement frameworks, data sources and reporting mechanisms
- Solid understanding of the organisation’s goals, strategy and policies
- Excellent understanding of Quality Management Systems, quality measurement requirements and methods
- Previous experience of managing successful teams in a service oriented environment
- Demonstrable experience in developing and managing resource plans
