Birchington, United Kingdom Spencer House Residential Home Full time

We need an enthusiastic, lively person to come and provide a few hours of activities Monday to Friday.

Must be outgoing and creative. Our residents are aged 65 -100years old, so appropriate activities must be planned accordingly. Ideally we would like a local person full of energy to do 13:30 - 14:30hrs - 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday 10hrs per week.

You should be able to:

- Organise and plan your weekly activities
- Keep residents safe
- Communicate clearly
- Spend time with groups or one-to-one in their rooms (ensuring all residents are included)
- You should be comfortable assisting people with dementia or people that have full mental capacity
- Clean and tidy up afterwards
- Maybe have a pamper session (putting cream on hands or nail varnish on nails)
- Always be thinking of new ideas to keep activity time interesting
- Find local volunteer groups to entertain the residents
- Be mindful of residents birthdays and other festivities
- Do a little gentle gardening inside and outside with residents
- keep records of what residents have participated in

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
