Beaconsfield, United Kingdom RSPCA Buckinghamshire South Full time

**VACANCY - VOLUNTEER VETERINARY TREATMENT CO-ORDINATOR**

The RSPCA Buckinghamshire South is a local animal charity operating in south Buckinghamshire which offers animal microchipping, neutering, and financial assistance for emergency veterinary treatments of animals whose owners are struggling financially.

We provide this service between Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm. We are looking for an individual who would be willing to help our charity in this role on a job share basis, ideally two days per week but we are able to work around your availability and commitments. Even if you can only offer a couple of hours a day, we would like to hear from you.

**The Role**
- You will need to assess the call and determine if the person qualifies for our help.
- If treatment is offered, you will need to contact one of our partner vets to arrange treatment.
- Depending on the circumstances, there may be a need to seek part payment for the treatment from the owner.
- You will need to keep a record of the work.

This is home based, and a telephone, laptop and training will be provided. You will be supported by a team of like-minded people carrying out other animal related functions.

You do not need to be an expert on domestic pets, yet it is advantageous if you do have some knowledge. Ideally, you would have a pet at home yourself. You will also need to live within the south Buckinghamshire area.

This is a rewarding role which plays a very important part of what our charity is about and may suit a person who is home based or has spare time to give.

Our charity exists from the income we receive from our charity shops and fundraising activity. Volunteers make up the team who manage the animal services we offer, all of whom are sympathetic to our cause and the “want” to ensure animals get the help they need, when they need it.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Volunteer

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
