**Office Assistant**

Permicoat is a leading specialist contractor within the roofing industry and due to its continuing expansion, we are looking to recruit a part-time Office/Accounts Assistant. We are a family business which looks after its staff, encouraging continual improvement and promotes a good work/life balance.

Joining our team, you will be responsible for providing general accounts and administrative duties including assisting with accounts payable, purchase ordering, stock control, updating databases as well as answering the phones and assisting with general support i.e., filing and sorting of mail.

**Key Requirements**:
You will need to have good and accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries. It is important that you have good communication skills, are able to multitask in a quick and changing and sometimes challenging environment.

- Knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Strong Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical and typing errors
- Ability to make decisions affecting own work, prioritise and plan their work
- Can show creative thinking when solving problems
- Ability to listen and follow instructions methodically
- Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing
- Ability to build relationships with a range of colleagues
- Great organisational skills - able to manage own workload and multitask.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of information is maintained
- Ability to work using own initiative and within a team

**Responsibilities**:

- Inputting data of supplier invoices into Xero
- Raising po numbers in Xero
- Requesting invoice copies
- Checking documents for accuracy and requesting amendments
- Filing and scanning post
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Checking and verifying paperwork
- General ad hoc duties when required in order to assist with the smooth running

**Hours of Work**:Part-time 5.5 hours per day Tuesday to Thursday

**Wage**:£15 p/hr

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
