The SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Interim Treasury Accountant for their client based in Burton on Trent for a 12 month Maternity contract. The Management Accountant will work within a highly reputable business. First class working facilitiesand environment offered, Hybrid working 2 day in the office and 3 at home, flexible working hours and free on site car parking.
Key responsibilities include:
Day to day management of the treasury function to include maintenance of the cashbooks and all associated postings, issuing the daily cash monitor, daily bank reconciliations, processing bank payments falling outside of the purchase ledger function.
Assuming ownership/understanding of the operation of all bank accounts within the group, including those in overseas locations.
Periodic verification of cash related accounts, ensuring any issues arising therefrom are dealt with in a timely manner.
Representation in meetings with respect to cash related topics.
Monitoring levels of cash (including foreign currency requirements) to ensure that sufficient is held to meet the needs of the business.
Forecasting short term cash levels, including working with key teams providing input to this forecast, to aid in cash planning across the business.
Maintenance of supplier bank account details within the accounting system.
Control of petty cash, including ensuring that the correct paperwork is maintained re spend and the maintenance of the petty cash book.
Liaising with brokers with respect to administration of foreign exchange contracts, including obtaining quotations and exercising deals.
Providing input into foreign currency forecasting processes.
Maintaining details of open foreign currency forwards and updating when utilised.
Assisting in the process of opening new bank accounts
Challenging existing processes and suggesting improvements where considered appropriate, including providing reporting information to the wider business.
Ensuring all key tasks are fully documented and that cross training is in place for all key areas.
Ad hoc tasks/requests as required.
