Slitter Operator

A **Slitter Operator **is required for a large steel processing company based in the Aston area of Birmingham.

You will be responsible for running the line, setting and operating the machine as well as loading it with steel coils. To be considered for this role you will have ran the line in the past and will have also operated overhead cranes and counterbalance forklift trucks.

As a slitter operator you will be responsible for and your duties will include;
- Setting and operating a slitting line
- Working with stainless steel and aluminium
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
- Operating overhead cranes
- Loading and unloading the machinery

The starting rate of pay for this slitter operator will be £11.99 - £13.00 per hour.

You will be working straight day shifts 7:30am - 4:15pm Monday to Friday, with a 1pm finish on Fridays, totalling 38.5 hours per week.

**This is a direct permanent position with the company - no agency period.**
