Barnsley academy is seeking to appoint an experienced HR Advisor. The academy is part of United Learning, a national group of schools and academies. Barnsley Academy is an 11-16 secondary. - Manage and deliver day to day HR administration for the academy.
- Provide first line HR support and advice to the Principal and Senior Leaders.
- Provide appropriate advice on terms and conditions of employment, general HR policies and procedures and payroll administration.
- Support the implementation of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation.
- Lead on recruitment and selection for the academy.
- Support HR work and processes including carrying out/leading meetings.
- Be the key point of contact for employee relations.

This role requires a highly focussed individual that is organised and passionate about making a difference for our academy and for the local community. The postholder will deliver a good level of Human Resources provision with a hands-on approach to undertake the administration work and have the ability to provide first line advice and guidance.

We are looking for a HR Advisor who is:

- Reliable, highly motivated and self-driven.
- Experienced with IT packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experienced with an excellent knowledge and understanding of good HR processes.
- Keen on attention to detail, has high standards and takes pride in their work.
- Keen to be part of a collaborative team of staff.
- A team player with strong communication skills who works collaboratively across the local group of United Learning schools.
