We are seeking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator (Import/Export) for our client’s import/export (shipping) department in their Maidenhead freight forwarding office, mainly overseeing the shipping of food by sea.

Despite being a world leader they are a small team, of only 20 people in central Maidenhead - it’s a very pleasant place to work, and for ambitious people the prospects are excellent.

As a Logistics Coordinator you will handle all aspects of stock movements across the world from taking initial enquiries; making bookings; arranging quotes (in appropriate currencies); arranging collections; raising sea freight & import/export documentation;creating customs entries and billing out. You will liaise with customers; shipping lines (freight forwarders); hauliers and agents; keeping all parties updated and resolving any issues as they arise.

You will be:

- highly organised, detail-conscious and you’ll have an obsession for accuracy
- an excellent communicator (verbally and in writing)
- a quick learner
- highly computer literate, particularly excel
- naturally intelligent with a good standard of education.

whilst not essential, you may also offer and have experience in one or more of the following:

- air or sea freight export/import
- (ERP) and stock control
- customs and other relevant documentation
- any form of logistics or international trading.
