**What is the Job Function?**
As a Mechanic, based at Kibble’s Skills Academy in Hillington, you will take the lead in supporting young people to gain experience and knowledge in Mechanics. You will be responsible for providing full servicing, repairs and valeting for Kibble vehicles as well as external customers.
**Main Duties**:
- To carry out services and repairs to MOT standard
- To provide and supervise a valeting service.
- Assisting with insurance claims and vehicle estimates.
- liaising with auto glass and external customers.
- To provide instruction in Mechanics.
- To maintain and promote positive work ethics and standards amongst young people.
- To safeguard the health and safety of all young people and staff.
- Any other reasonable duties as required by Education Management.
**What Qualifications and experience are we looking for?**
- Mechanic with minimum SVQ 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or other relevant qualifications
- Experience in youth training is desirable.
- Ability to work to deadlines/time scales.
- Good diagnostic skills, with some electrical skills.
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire young people.
- Possess a full driving license and be willing and able to drive Kibble vehicles.
