Finance Assistant

**OPPORTUNITY**

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team.

**PURPOSE**

As a key member of the Finance team, this Finance Assistant position includes the responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate recording and processing of invoices and documents whilst also working closely with other members of the Finance team to manage the day-to-day running of the department.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Performing key daily day book reconciliations for accounts payable, receivable and banking.
- Ensuring Company authorisation procedures are followed appropriately.
- Support the wider finance team on daily transactional postings, including the recording and processing of purchase invoices.
- Performing supplier statement reconciliations, taking appropriate action to correct any discrepancies.
- Dealing with queries and enquiries from suppliers/customers.
- Assisting to maintain the integrity of the Company’s accounting records and its financial control environment.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required from time to time.

- Proficient user of Microsoft software packages

DESIRABLE
- Previous experience working with accounting software packages
- Previous experience in a similar role
