The CGM Energy division are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their team. This individual will be responsible for underwriting a broad spectrum of upstream energy and offshore renewables risks into a global portfolio.

They will be part of a dynamic underwriting team focussed on delivering a high quality service by taking ownership of their own account allocation. They will continue to develop technical and broader business skills in this specialist product line to enable them to contribute to successful underwriting results.

Your Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
Interacting with all stakeholders; Brokers, Clients, variety of other Chubb functions.
Analysis of underwriting submissions to form opinion on risk quality and appetite.
Develop appropriate policy terms and conditions for those risks within appetite.
Negotiate with brokers.
Manage aggregatation and catastrophe modelling, liaising with the Cat Team.
Learn all aspects of the portfolio.
Learn all actuarial functions.
Contribute to periodic reports such as production, exposure summaries, rate movement and adequacy.
Adherence to all financial, legal, regulatory and compliance as it relates to the role.
Attend technical presentations and training programs internally and externally to enhance technical understanding of the product line.
Travel to meet with international clients and brokers.
Provide advice, guidance and training to more junior team members.
Any other ad hoc duties allocated by the Line Manager.

**Qualifications**:
Experience in the upstream energy insurance market and a keen interest in the energy transition including conventional energy and green technologies.
Minimum A levels, preferably higher level qualification such as a degree.
Professional insurance qualifications preferred.
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work as part of a high-paced team.
Upstream energy underwriting or broking experience.
Exising broker/client/london market relationships preferred.
Demonstrate a desire and capacity to expand expertise, develop new skills and grow professionally.
Willingness to do more is required or expected in the job.
Strong knowledge and understanding of general underwriting principles.
Understanding of aggregation systems.
Ability to demonstrate logical approach to processes and problems.
Ability to manage own workload with a high level of self-sufficiency and accountability.
Excellent organisational and communication skills and able to manage their time effectively.
Confident presenting infront of clients, brokers and peers.
