**Full-time, permanent basis (40hrs per week)**:

- **Shift work including weekends, public holidays, and willing to attend residential holidays with the children during school holidays**:

- **Salary: £22,000 basic, OTE up to £29,000 per annum including sleep ins and overtime (£45.00 per sleep on weekdays and £50 per sleep in at weekends)**:

- **Location: West Berkshire, North Hampshire areas, easy access from Reading and Basingstoke**

**About the Residential Support Worker role**:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will act as a positive role model for the children within Amegreen Children’s Services, offering care and support based on structure, consistency, and nurturing as part of day-to-day living, always ensuring the safety of each child.

**No experience necessary** as full training support is provided, however experience is an advantage.

**Key duties** (not limited to)
- _Being intuitive to children’s needs, both physical and emotional_
- _Being alert to any indication of stress or abuse and reporting accordingly_
- _Promoting good personal hygiene among all children_
- _Communicating with parents, teachers, therapists, and social workers_
- _Facilitating family contact when appropriate_
- _Listening to, guiding, and advising children sensitively, offering comfort during challenging times and sharing their joy when appropriate_
- _Being aware of Child Protection issues, guidelines, and procedures_
- _Carrying out administrative duties and maintaining accurate records and reports_

**Skills and experience**:

- _Ability to manage personal/professional boundaries/personal authority_
- _Ability to engage in a variety of activities to develop and sustain appropriate relationships with the children_
- _Ability to work as part of a team_
- _Ability to work under pressure and cope with stress_
- _Good organisation/prioritising skills _
- _Good written and verbal communication skills_
- _Proficiency in Microsoft Office_
- _Physical ability to meet the demands of the role_
