Clinical Systems Support Officer

This is an interesting and varied role that will provide the day to day support for key clinical systems within the Trust. It will be primarily focussed on providing a responsive and effective support service to clinicians and clinical support staff across the Trust and in other care settings, such as GPs, in their use of DCHFT mission critical corporate clinical systems.
- Silverlink Patient Administration System
- ICE Orders Communication and Results Reporting System
- Digital Patient Record including implementation of new bed management, clinical observation, clinical handover and clinical ED functionality
- The Trust Integration Engine (TIE) that enables data to be transferred between different systems.
- Provision of access to National systems including the National Personal Demographic Service (PDS) and Electronic Referral Service (eRS)
- Support for technologies that are used with Clinical Systems such as speech recognition and digital dictation.

The postholder will be able to develop specific knowledge around a key system or specific functionality in line with the team priorities.

The role will involve routine daily system checks, management of error reports, updating system configuration settings, user access set up and changes, providing support for users that need advice or need to report a problem working with the Service Desk for Digital Services.

The post holder will be expected to work within a shift rota, which may include working evenings and weekends.
