My client a professional firm in Leeds are looking to recruit a Business Analyst to join their team in Leeds. This role reports Head of Risk and Compliance, the Business Acceptance team is the next step in driving our risk and compliance culture.

Main Duties:

- Manage the day to day task relating to all aspects of our Client inception processes;
- Conduct research on clients, and undertake all Client Due Diligence (CDD) checks in line with the money laundering regulations;
- Advise partners and fee earners on specific CDD requirements and risk issues relating to anti-money laundering and CDD;
- Assess the risk profile of new and existing clients and respective matters; escalating issues appropriately; and

other Business Acceptance and onboarding duties, as required.

Skills Required:

- Experience within a regulated environment (ideally legal) of conducting CDD checks, and who are familiar with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (as amended) and the SRA's rules regarding risk and compliance.
- Excellent research and communication skills, along with a solutions orientated approach to your work.
- Collaboration and teamwork.
- Keeping calm under pressure and having a commercial outlook are highly valued.
