**Main Duties and Responsibilities**: Provide line manager responsibility, supervision, operational management and day-to-day guidance and instruction to the outreach staff teams in Bedfordshire, including training and development with regard to trust/ department/specialty policies and procedures, identification of development needs and assist with co-ordinating annual leave and work rotas for this team. Working to the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NSCP) targets for Bedfordshire, ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of Chlamydia screening, to include dual testing, with young people aged 15-24 years across the county. Responsibility for results management of NCSP ensuring patients are informed of results and treated either within a community setting or within the clinical service in a timely manner. Working alongside the service and Public Health to ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of targeted HIV POCT across the county, supporting local agencies with training and resources to deliver it within their service if appropriate.

This could include the occasional imparting of a HIV diagnosis to patients. With the HIV specialist nurse, support the provision of training for the outreach workers to manage an HIV positive diagnosis following a POCT. Ensure the HIV positive care pathways are followed to support direct referral into the iCaSH HIV team. Ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of condom distribution services targeted at young people, vulnerable and high-risk groups across the county.

Supporting local agencies to sign up as distribution points through training and resources. Co-ordinate the GP and Pharmacy provision for condoms, NCSP and emergency hormonal contraception ensuring all relevant information, training and supplies, are up to date. Accurately record and report all activity to the Commissioner via the Service Manager using agreed proformas. Working with the outreach team, develop and deliver innovative health promotion interventions addressing the needs of the local population.

This would include addressing health inequalities and designing programmes for vulnerable and high-risk groups. Working with the Co-production team to actively engage with high risk, vulnerable and underrepresented groups in Bedfordshire to co-produce service development and delivery of all sexual health provision within iCaSH Working with the outreach team, network and build relationships with relevant community organisations working with vulnerable and high-risk groups with a view to encouraging them to take part in the countywide provision of our health promotion, NCSP, Condom distribution, HIV POCT schemes. Keeping up to date with local information, provide signposting and support into iCaSH clinics and provide support, signposting and referral to other outside agencies as appropriate. Ensure all aspects of the outreach service provision are evaluated and reported on in line with Key performance indicators by collating data and producing monthly reports.

Support the outreach staff when working alone in settings following the Trusts Lone Work Policy. Communication: To represent the iCaSH service to clients, patients, other teams and agencies in order to improve, develop and maintain working relationship and to promote understanding about the services role and objectives. Key relationships will be with a wide range of internal and externals bodies including patients and local people, managers and clinicians Stakeholders. To attend team meetings, senior staff meetings and any other meetings relevant to organising and developing the service.

Working with the wider iCaSH team, manage enquiries and correspondence, interpreting and communicating highly sensitive and complex information. Communicating with a wide range of audiences at all levels, orally and in writing. Ensure appropriate communication and staff involvement structures are in place. Budgetary Responsibilities: Ensure that service aims are delivered within the resources available and taking joint action to prevent any over-expenditure.

Assist the Service Manager to control and review the usage of resources against planned performance. Assist the Service Manager to ensure delivery of standards and targets for operational performance on activity, productivity, quality and risk management. As requested, provide regular reports on contractual outreach performance as agreed with Service Manager. Complete health roster each month capturing staff TOIL and overtime.

Authorising staff mileage, additional hours and overtime claims. People Management Maintaining own professional development and requirement to take part in appraisal. Support outreach team development plans to ensure the team is equipped (skills and knowledge) and performing at the required level to meet the demands placed upon it.
