Set in 330 acres of University of Nottingham’s landscaped parkland, The Orchard Hotel is a stylish, award winning, eco-friendly hotel. With 202 bedrooms, a variety of meeting rooms, restaurant, bar and terrace.

Set within 65 acres of lakeside grounds, close to Nottingham City Centre, Jubilee Hotel and Conferences offers an innovative setting for events, along with the comforts of a 100-bedroom modern hotel.

East Midlands Conference Centre has recently completed a £2.1m refurbishment, sited adjacent to the Orchard Hotel, providing events for up to 1000 delegates.

Our three campus locations provide an unrivalled choice of venues and facilities, with spaces ranging from modern tiered lecture theatres and teaching laboratories to meeting rooms, breakout spaces and exhibition halls. Our Campus Venues team work closely with the University of Nottingham, to offer meeting, event space and accommodation to a wide range of businesses, community, faith and sports groups.

To support this vision we are looking for a Finance Supervisor to support the Financial Controller, with a key focus on cost control and debt management, alongside forecasting, month end close down and day to day office management.

Main purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist with leading the managing the Finance team, motivating them, and helping them succeed.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

- Acting as a point of escalation for the team
- Supporting the delivery of KPIs
- Assisting with team training and development
- Ensuring accurate and relevant recording of transactions - including sales, purchases, expenses, accruals & prepayments
- Assistance in preparing month end and year end accounts
- Preparation and submission of bi-weekly forecasts
- Supporting the FC in the internal and external audit process, as well as preparation of statutory accounts
- Monitoring of cash flow monthly
- Ad hoc tasks as and when they arise

We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills and a focus on providing high standards of work. You will also have:

- Previous hospitality experience (desirable)
- Prior use of Opera (essential)
- A high level of numeracy and be IT literate (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience supervising or managing a team
- A can-do attitude
- A desire to develop and grow with the business
