**Administrative Support worker in Liverpool**:
**Working Hours**:Up to 19 hours a week to be used flexibly over two or three days a week during Monday to Friday (between 8.30am to 5pm hours) (Additionally, the support worker would also be required for a total of 16 hours additional adhoc support when required throughout the year)

Working pattern/hours to be discussed further on successful commencement of the administrative support worker role dependent on the needs and requirement of the job role of the person being supported.

**Job summary**:
The role involves supporting a nurse at work in their community-based role. The nurse being supported works in an office environment as well within community school settings and other settings for their job role. Therefore, the applicant will be expected to travel around the community to support the person being supported and to undertake the duties required as a support worker.

The job role primarily involves supporting with administrative support worker duties, as well as supporting the person with organisational and time management skills as well as with adapting to and managing change.

Other administrative duties may be determined and given during the employment dependent on the needs of the person being supported.

**Principal Responsibilities**:
The applicant will work closely in an office environment with the person receiving support when required to support the person while they are undertaking their job role duties.

The role requires the applicant to travel around the community to support the person being supported with carrying work equipment to and from places required for undertaking their job role.

The applicant will provide communication support on the telephone when required, under the direction and supervision of the person being supported.

Taking accurate meeting minutes of confidential meetings under the direction of the person being supported. The meeting minutes will be handwritten using a digital pen and notebook to enable the person being supported to then write up a post meeting report.

The applicant will support the person being supported with understanding new information for learning purposes when required.

There may be times when direct support to the person being supported is not required, and the applicant will be given other admin duties within the work team office environment to complete during this time.

**Essential work experience and qualifications**:

- The applicant must have experience in completing meeting minutes and be able to complete accurate confidential meeting minutes.
- The applicant must have administrative experience and preferred experience of working in an office.

**Personal qualities essential criteria**:

- The applicant must have excellent communication skills and listening skills required for the role when communicating in all work situations. The applicant must have good written skills.
- The applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to get on well with others.
- Due to the nature of the job role of the person being supported, the applicant must be able to adapt to change easily and to be able to assist the person being supported to meet the demands of their job role.
- The applicant must be a hardworking, enthusiastic, motivated, trustworthy and committed individual.
- The applicant must be passionate about making a difference and supporting a person that has disabilities.

**Further essential criteria**:

- The applicant must have knowledge and understanding of disabilities and understand autism and dyspraxia.
- The applicant must be able to always adhere to confidentiality guidelines, the data protection act, information governance guidelines and GDPR guidelines at all times.
- The applicant must be able adhere to the organisation’s health and safety and moving and handling guidelines.
- The applicant must be able to adhere to the values and expectations of the organisation in which they will be supporting the employee at. More information on the organisation values will be provided on successful commencement to the role.
- The applicant must have an Enhanced DBS for children and young people that is a mandatory requirement to be able to support the person in undertaking their job role duties. The applicant must be happy to share a copy of their dbs certificate when required to ensure that they have the required dbs clearance to be present in the settings that they would visit.
