**Shift Patterns**:40hrs Per Week Guaranteed, Full Time, Permanent, Days and Nights

**Information about the Role**:
**Working as a Support Worker at Estuary House** **your duties will include the following**:

- Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families.
- Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times.
- Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
- Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
- Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
- If applicable, assist in the administration of medication.

**Information about the Service**:
Estuary House provides individual bedrooms for up to 41 people. Each individual bedroom has en suite facilities providing a toilet and washing/shower facilities. There are dedicated recreational and communal living spaces within each of the areas, along with quiet spaces, and access to private enclosed garden areas. Inside Estuary House there are dedicated therapy suites, a sanctuary space for multi-faith use or quiet contemplation and activity rooms to enjoy sessions devised by occupational therapists, art sessions, crafts, cooking & other creative activities.

**Experiance and quailifications to work as a Support Worker**:

- No experience needed for this role as full training will be provided.
- However previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred.
- Caring, kind and considerate.
- Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
- Good communication skills.
- Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
- Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
