You will work across 3 properties including Ashridge Estate, Dunstable Downs and Shaw’s Corner.

**This is a full time, two-year fixed term role. There will be a requirement to work regular weekends to support the delivery of our programming and the wider team.**

You'll join and head up a newly formed programming team, which will report to our Senior Visitor Experience Officer, working both independently and with a wide range of staff, volunteers and partners. You will manage a Programming Assistant to support you with the creation and delivery of events.

You will join a community of people who enjoy, protect and want to learn more about our properties and the stories they hold. Our team are central to creating the brilliant experience that visitors have at our places. What you'll be doing:We’re looking for a proactive and creative team player who can assist in piecing together all the strands of work: from supporting programming partnerships, designing seasonal trails and activities, and organising and motivating volunteers. Having a keen eye for detail and ensuring quality presentation standards in our programming is key to this role, whilst reflecting each of our property’s nature and history at the heart of all events and activities on site.

You'll focus on visitor programming, looking to find creative ways to share the nature, history and beauty of our sites: specifically, crafting and delivering seasonal trails and events for our audiences.

This is a hands-on, creative role, with a need to be flexible, adaptable and support where required with daily operations and access, to assist in welcoming visitors to our properties.

Who we're looking forWe'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Experience in creating and delivering visitor programmes and/or working with community or commercial partners to deliver events and activities
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities and demands and to plan strategically to meet deadlines
- Someone creative and able to draw creative ideas from their team, with a good eye for detail
- Experience with managing/supervising and motivating volunteers/a small team, or similar
- An effective communicator when working within a team, with partners, and autonomously using your own initiative
