Warehouse Assistant and Van Driver

Intelligent Servers Limited are looking for a Goods Out Assistant/Van Driver to join their warehouse team at the main warehouse facility in Harrogate.

You will be a team player who is passionate about their work and fully committed to delivering products ‘right first time’. Reporting to the Goods Out Manager, you will be joining a Goods Out team of five whilst working alongside a warehouse team of over 20 staff. The majority of your working week will be spent working within the warehouse on Goods Out duties (detailed below), with the remainder of your time spent on driving the company van for deliveries and collections (approximately 20-30% of the working week). - **Duties include but are not limited to**:_

**Goods Out Assistant**
- Picking and packing fragile items to the required standards
- Competently locating stock throughout the warehouse using internal software and the stock locating guns
- Arranging domestic and international shipping
- Arranging domestic and international collections
- Carrying out international shipping quotation requests
- Generating commercial invoices
- Conducting physical hardware check requests
- Carrying out general warehouse duties including topping up order points with internal stock and notifying a manager when internal stock becomes depleted
- Performing rolling stock takes when requested to by a manager
- Using internal systems to identify and search for missing stock items
- Identifying and escalating issues to Team Manager as they arise

**Van Driving**
- Responsible for the transport of stock for:

- Same day sales order deliveries
- Same day purchase order collections
- ITAD collections and pull-outs
- Same day warranty deliveries
- Carrying out routine vehicle checks
- Ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and any maintenance issues are reported immediately
- Loading and unloading the vehicle safely and securely, including heavy loads
- Planning day in accordance with assigned jobs and planning routes and schedule in advance of departure
- Following pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course
- Handling necessary paperwork
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive
- Driving safely and following all laws and rules of driving and parking to maintain a safe work environment
- Long distance deliveries/collections may require overtime and/or occasional overnight stays
- **Requirements for driving role**:_
- Holds a full license which has been valid for at least 1 year
- Hasn’t had more than 2 incidents/accidents/ laims made against you within the previous 24 months (excluding those recovered from a third party)
- Has not been advised to stop driving by DVLA or a medical practitioner due to medical conditions
- For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years of age to drive our company van
- **Other skills and experience**:_
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment and/or an interest in Enterprise IT hardware would be desirable
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently; self-driven and motivated with strong attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- **Salary + Working Package;**_
- Salary of £23,000 gross per annum
- Enhanced overtime rate for any driving duties before 7am and after 8pm
- 23 days’ holiday + 1 day per year served, up to 28 days
- Working hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
